The City of McCook is seeking qualified candidates for Police Chief following our current Chief’s retirement. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in criminal justice, public or business administration, political science, social studies or related field. Fifteen years of law enforcement officer experience, including ten years administrative or management experience. Graduation from a state accredited law enforcement training academy with advanced training. Must possess good character as determined by a thorough background investigation. Must possess a valid driver’s license and live within the City limits. Salary range: $65,555 - $88,777 per yr + full benefit pkg. Application process closes at 4:00 pm on June 19, 2020. Written exam date: July 8, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. followed by oral interviews at 1:00 p.m. for those with a passing score of 75% or higher.
